What you can do on Great Barrier Island

Great Barrier Island is a remote paradise in the Hauraki Gulf, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. If you’ve packed your walking shoes and your camera, a hike up Mt Hobson (Hirakimata) via Windy Canyon will reward you with breathtaking 360-degree views over the Island’s lush landscape.

If relaxing is more your style, then lying on the golden sands of Medlands Beach or soaking in the Kaitoke Hot Springs will deliver those calm, rejuvenating vibes. For a short scenic stroll, the Glenfern Sanctuary offers beautiful forest walks and native wildlife encounters.

You might just want to enjoy a meal at a local café. Whether it’s kayaking, fishing, surfing, or simply unwinding off-grid, the options are aplenty.

What you can do on Waiheke Island

Waiheke Island is a beautiful getaway in the Hauraki Gulf, not far from Auckland. You can hike scenic trails like Te Ara Hura, relax on beaches like Oneroa and Palm Beach, or explore local art galleries and sculpture parks.

Enjoy wine tasting at world-class vineyards, dine at beachfront cafés, or take a zipline adventure. Whether you're into nature, food, or just unwinding, Waiheke offers plenty to enjoy.

What you can do in Pauanui

Pauanui is a small town on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, directly opposite Tairua. Pauanui is well worth making a trip to with many beautiful sites and fun activities. If you’ve packed your walking shoes and your camera then a climb up Mt Pauanui will ensure stunning views over the township and landscape. If relaxing is at the top of your list, then lying on the sandy beach at Pauanui will deliver those calm vibes. For a quick scenic stroll, the Tangatarori Lane Boardwalk is a fabulous walk. You might just want to eat at a local café, then play a round of mini golf. Once again, the options are aplenty.

Helicopter can remain on standby while you complete the activities at each destination followed by a return flight.

Please note that the helicopter is based at Whitianga Airfield, so all-time charged would be starting and returning to Whitianga Airfield.

Coromandel Coastal Walkway Experience

Fly from Whitianga Airfield and land partway along the highly renowned Coromandel Coastal Walkway and shutdown for 2 hours.
Return flight back to Whitianga Airfield.

What you can do on the Coastal Walkway

Walk the 4-5km downhill leg of the coastal walk to Stoney Bay weaving your way through coastal native bush enjoying the cool and fresh protection from the sun.  Take a picnic and stop along the way for a swim at Stoney Bay before hopping into the helicopter and returning to Whitianga Airfield.

What you can do on Cuvier Island

Cuvier Island (Repanga) is a remote wildlife sanctuary off the eastern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula, rich in history and natural beauty. Though public access is restricted, the Island plays a vital role in conservation, hosting rare birds like Pycroft’s petrels, tuatara, geckos, and flourishing native flora. The historic Cuvier Island Lighthouse, built in 1889, stands as a testament to the Island’s maritime legacy. A fascinating part of New Zealand’s offshore treasures.
